Lil Wayne was teased by friends because of his rough hair: ‘I once intended to find ways to make my hair straight, which was impossible for a poor child’

On his podcast “More To It,” Lil Wayne recently had an hour-long conversation with Marcellus Wiley, a former American football player. Performers’ interactions are featured on the podcast.

Wayne talked about his early years of dressing up as Michael Jackson and performing for his family (this is when he realised he loved performing), the Cash M/o/ne/y/Ruff Ryders tour, Slim Williams, and the realisation that he was now a solo artist and not a H/o/t/ Boy with Birdman and Slim. Wayne also talked about his upbringing in the 17th Ward of New Orleans.

Weezy and the Green Bay Packers discussed playing tennis with his friend T@, Roger Federer’s record as the greatest tennis player of all time, Weezy’s ambition to become the greatest musician of all time, what it’s like to be around the greatest rapper of all time, his preference for Los Angeles over Miami, and the incident when he declared on “Undisputed” that he did not believe in racism.

After the jump, you can view a short clip of Tunechi and Marcellus’ talk, as well as stream the entire episode on Apple Music. Tune initially said, “The Notorious B.I.G.” when asked who he thought was the greatest rapper of all time, but in the end, he went with Jay Z!
